It was with great sadness that we learnt this week of the death of Honorary, and long time member of Fittleworth Rifle Club, Mr Dennis Corden.

Dennis followed in his father, Vic’s shoes, having held office within the club including Secretary. Dennis was an avid shooter at the club through the years, and when he decided to call it a day, he continued to be a local, county and national scorer for the sport.

A local man, Dennis was known to many generations of local people, due to owning and running the Pulborough Village chemists and pharmacy. he will be muched missed by all those who knew him.

There will be a service to celebrate his life at St. Botolph’s Church, Hardham, West Sussex on 7th July at 2 pm. No flowers please but any donations to MacMillan.
