Big John commemorative model 1892

When the good Lord called John Wayne home in 1979, America said good-bye to one of its last true icons of western movie history. Although the beloved man is no longer galloping full speed with reins in his mouth and Winchester in hand, his legend lives on.

Born May 26, 1907, the “Duke”, as friends and family called him, made over 175 movies spanning 50 years. And in every one of the western movies he starred in, he always requested one rifle – a Winchester with a large loop lever.

To celebrate this significant occasion, Winchester Rifles and Shotguns proudly announces the John Wayne Winchester Model 1892 100th Anniversary Rifle. Built to exacting specifications of the man himself and licensed by the John Wayne family, this limited edition rifle is sure to become a sought after collectors item by those who loved the man with “True Grit”.
